From medical student to fashion designer – this is the unusual success story of an unusual woman. She started out with just a small business and today heads an internationally successful company: EVELIN BRANDT Berlin. The name stands for individual and authentic fashion, designed for career women with personal style who want high quality.

When Evelin Brandt moved from Bückeburg to Berlin to study medicine, it was not in her wildest dreams that one day she would head a fashion company with more than 50 employees. Back then in 1983, she began to sell dresses she had knitted herself in a small shop in order to finance her studies. Later, she added blouses, accessories, and fabrics that she brought back from her travels to India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. This was only just the beginning of her passion for fabrics and clothes, Evelin Brandt presented her first collection at the IGEDO fashion trade fair in Düsseldorf in 1989.
